Jan Bernstein was born in Berlin in 1982 and studied industrial design in Halle and Valencia.
His main interest lies in mechanical and kinetic works based between art and design. He works part-time as an assistant lecturer at the University of Art and Design in Halle.
Since 2010 he works together with Sebastian Neitsch to combine their mechanical and digital skills. Their machines have been exhibited among others at the Museum of Technologiy in Berlin, Mexico City, Santral Istanbul, Art and About Sydney.
