Robert Mathy lives and works in Vienna. He studied at the University for Applied Arts, Vienna, in the field of Digital Arts (with Peter Weibel, Tom Fürstner, and Ruth Schnell) as well as at the University of São Paulo.
Mathy has been working in the fields of digital arts, experimental video arts, and doing research on the possibilities of electro acoustic sound development. The outcome of the latter is regularly influencing his performances and installations. His work has been shown in several countries at renown arts festival in Brazil (File Festival, Austria (Museumsquartier, MAK), Germany (Leap), USA (Georgia Tech), Portugal (Casa da Musica) or Italy (Flussi Festival).
